For your uraraka traitor theory, do you think horikoshi may be setting up red herrings for the other characters like kaminari and kirishima so the class will think its them instead? Like if someone else is suspected, no one will think its her

You know, if I’m honest, I can’t say for sure! I know there are other theories floating around about who is the traitor and, assuming uraraka *is* the traitor, any of the information in those used as support for why those characters *are* the traitor I would say are points that, for my argument, could be called red herrings. By contrast, any point that I’ve made about Uraraka could also be considered a red herring for any other theory.

If I had to pick a “red herring” out of the whole series, I’d pick out this panel

A lot of the theories I’ve seen run with the idea that any character we aren’t seeing in these panels has a potential to be the traitor. As you can see, Uraraka is in this set of panels! But we’re missing both Kirishima and Kaminari, and also you can observe distinctly that one of the beds is down right empty. It leads us to the suggestion that whoever isn’t int he picture could be the traitor because in this moment, they’re contacting the villains. But also…. Iida isn’t in the picture, Aoyama isn’t in the picture, Ojiro, Satou, Todoroki…. *all of class B.* And we have no idea who the nerd is that covers his face with pillows- bless him, tbh. It’s honestly just way too wide of a range for me to really care for how legitimate this factor may be - but also we have no idea if this is *actually* when this possible “contact” was made.

As for red herrings left for suspicion within the storyline? I really don’t think so, at least not right now. It honestly seems too early for Horikoshi to be putting red herrings into the storyline for the characters themselves to start suspecting things, mostly because we’ve only gotten (I think?) two references to the possibility of a traitor. You’re absolutely right, however, that it’s highly unlikely that any of the characters in the series would suspect Uraraka; likely for the same reason that fanbase doesn’t tend to gravitate (lmao) toward Uraraka as the traitor: she’s just too sweet! Which is fine and I understand and I mean no criticism, but I will always remind folks: “don’t let a character’s personality blind you.”

Bakugou would actually be a fair choice by the characters to suspect as a traitor, and perhaps the most likely. He’s been in contact with the villains and some how came out unscathed from the incident. While the Bakugou Rescue Squad would probably never suspect him because they knew the situation he was in, those characters that didn’t attend don’t have to trust or believe any defense made for him. He’s also got something of a shitty personality, so I mean……

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of evidence left behind for any other characters that could be built off of at this point. I know friends of mine have started grumbling about traitor theory coming closer to fruition when chapter 135 was released, so we might start seeing more information regarding your question and more!!
