RESOLVED: s10e5
Problems: Again, moving things from the later episode into this one to make room for other things.
Solution: The episode starts off with a completely unaltered version of Honerva’s arrival on Altea to see her son and family again, except that this story is what starts of the episode (rather than finishing it)
As honerva choses to destroy all realities, the final battle ensues similar to how it was done before. They make it into the place where all realities are kept, and all of a sudden Allura starts to act erratic and the blue lion (as the leg) starts to behave irregularly. “Allura keep it together!” Lance cries, but she can’t. The dark entity jumps from her body and into voltatlas, taking over the machine long enough to take out one of the realities. It goes for a second, mercilessly cutting down Honerva’s mech as it flies by. From it, another dark entity emerges, too small and too weak to do anything by itself in this massive void. Keith resolves that they need to force the creature out, Shiro responding on how to connect their hearts. A cut to each of the paladins, notably that Allura is weeping
Before a third reality can be taken out, Voltron halts and jerks erratically, at last, in a burst of light, expelling the entity. However, the two entities commbine, and they all watch in horror as it grows and morphs into something bigger, longer, and more deadly. In its new form it can cut down realities on its own. “We have to stop it!!” “It’s too fast, I can’t see it!” Until suddenly Honerva’s mech appears and roundhouse kicks the entity into the center of all realities. The final battle ground is set in the white abyss.

Problems: Just wrapping up my own loose ends and resolving my own qualms with the awful ending.
Solution:
The final fight is a hand-to-hand combat situation–no mechas, just raw teamwork. In the middle of the fight, Shiro appears to be in an excessive amount of pain. As the dark entity, a dark and buzzing creature, breaks and tears apart this last center of all existence, the terrain begins to shift, giving the last fight a little more visual dynamic.
Pidge, pulled away from the fight, stoops over Shiro who has crumpled as he did in season 6, trying to break him out of it, explaining desperately that they need his help. Honerva approaches, wounded, sneering as Pidge stands to defend her friend. “You won’t touch him!”
Honerva looks on judgingly before answering: “Your friend has something trapped in him that wants to come out, too, but he needs help” With a wave of her hand, she draws something out of Pidge: a little green light that bursts into a literal green lion. “Your friends have this as well. Tell them if you want to save your friend.”
Pidge relays the information Honerva gives her, telling each paladin to focus on the feeling inside them that something needs to come out–and so they do, one by one, releasing lions in their own color: Keith’s is red, Lance’s is blue, Hunk’s is yellow, and Allura’s is pink. Shiro’s is the last, a massive black lion emerging to the scene and stepping forward. The lions’ bodies glow and melt, throwing themselves at the dark entity all at once, throwing it back and reemerging as the white lion from Oriande. It quickly overpowers the dark entity, crushing it to air in its mouth.
Everyone runs to Shiro; however, Keith is the first there, lifting Shiro and whispering "Takashi" before the others are close enough to hear. Shiro smiles at Keith and turns to his worried friends, “I’m fine guys,” he answers and steadies himself, looking then on the white lion that stares him down. Pidge turns to Honerva “Why did you help us.”
Honerva explains herself simply, that the dark entity had a hold so tight on her heart that she had become blind. Now she sees what she’s done. “This is not the white lion from Oriande…. It was born from the bond all of you share and it’s power is greater than any energy in the universe. Perhaps all universes.”
“What does it matter?” Allura sneers, tears in her eyes and fists curled inward. “There aren’t any universes left, And it’s my fault.”
“...All is not lost, princess,” Honerva answers; as she speaks the old paladins appear near her. Her eyes turn toward the white lion. “This is the soul of Voltron, and were your bond with these Earthlings not so powerful, it would not have been this great. With it I can bring back all the realities, but that’s the cost. There will be no more defender of the universe. Do you accept the cost?”
A lengthy pause follows, each paladin looking at at each other before nodding. Honerva smiles only slightly. “Then it shall be done. Paladins of Voltron. Your efforts will be known in every universe after this. Your legend will be heard even in lands that will never know your names. Be proud of what you’ve done here. And… princess. Thank you for loving my son as you did.”
Allura, ahead of the group, watches as the paladins of old, the white lion, and Honerva walk away from them. Her friends gather around her before light consumes the scene.
When the paladins wake up, they’re in their lions again. Coran can be heard cheering over the intercom, clapping and celebrating. His voice fades back as each paladin tries to operate their lion. “I can’t feel black any more.” “Yellow’s not responding either.”
“Guys,” Shiro’s voice follows after Coran’s. “We’re sending an SOS team out to get you and the Lions. Just hang tight and we’ll be there soon.” After a brief pause, Lance’s voice picks up: “Hey, does anyone else not remember that planet being there.”
“I sure don’t remember it?” answers Pidge.
“...It’s Altea.” Allura whispers, tears in her eyes.
As was told, the Legendary Defenders were known through out the universe, and lauded for their greatness in every way. Celebrations are held in their honor. Even Shiro and Coran are included for their efforts since the beginning of their adventure. The series ends with Allura taking all of her friends in arms and hugging them. "I'm so lucky to have a family like you here with me." The scene moves into the sky, a lion like cloud in space.
